Our Trip to Annapolis/DC

This past weekend we headed up to visit Scott's family. We stayed at Laura and Christian's house and spent Saturday at David and Laura's house. They both have very nice homes and we enjoyed everyone's company.

On the way home we got stuck in a horrendous snow storm. Our trip took 2 hours longer than normal and there were many, many cars in the ditch. The interstate was so bad that we tried the back roads but unfortunately we kept getting stuck behind people going slower than necessary so back onto the interstate we went! We encountered cars perpendicular to the road, cars next to us swerving (but they did not hit us!), snow sprayed onto our windshield so we could not see for several seconds, etc., etc., etc.

They both enjoy walking around the house in the "play" high heels... and mine when I leave the closet door open!

Kara's has two new words... eat and book. When she gets upset Scott will rub her tummy and she instantly becomes relaxed. While we were visiting, Claire got upset and Kara tried to lift up her shirt to rub it. It was very cute. She kept referring to Claire as "baby" which is interesting since they are only two months apart.
Although we had a snow storm this weekend it was so warm on Friday that we had a picnic outside. Kara thought is was great fun to run around and take a quick bite of food before running around again.
