Today Kara decided that Dad needed help on the plumbing. She did a pretty good job for a novice. She just had her 18 month check-up and weighs a great big twenty pounds, just like her sister did. She continues her obsession with dogs and loves to look out the window at our neighbors' white poodle. She does not have any new consistent words but definitely understands more and more. She has started in the "Sunshine Kids" class at church on Wednesday nights. I think they really accomplish much other than singing and playing but she has her own little book which is kind of cute.
Rebekah has started taking naps again in the afternoon 3-4 times a week. We have to limit how long she sleeps but she seems to need the little snooze. She is very proud of how well she cleans up her toys in the evening. She also likes to help me with the dishes which we do by hand since we still do not have any hot water. For Sunday School she memorized the Lord's Prayer last week - I was pretty impressed at how quickly she learned it. The picture of them both shows Rebekah helping Scott fill in nail holes on the floor. She loves to help and Kara loves to pretend to help!
