Sorry I have not posted much lately, it is difficult to get on the computer now that Scott is writing papers. Not to mention the appendicitis that kind of got in the way. But, now that things are settling down and I feel better it is about time for more pictures.
Rebekah is settling into life in Kansas. She has recently started to love coloring and drawing. She is now coloring within the lines and especially loves Tinker Bell pictures. She is also becoming quite the drawer - her favorite are princes, princesses, castles, and cats. Her princesses have stick arms and legs, lopsided crowns, and huge eyes but they are adorable. Her cats have about 10 legs each. We are working on her letters and numbers. It turns out her name is quite difficult to learn because the letter R, B, K, and H are all very similar. Who knew.
Kara is full of energy and still continues to be a "Mama's girl." The other day I said "good night baby girl" to which she replied, "I am not a baby anymore." Oops. Yesterday at dinner time she said she had to go potty so she got down and went into the bathroom. When she came back I asked if she had gone pee and she said "No. There was no pee pee in my butt."
We have been enjoying the fall and this week we went apple picking with some friends. The girls really enjoyed that. We also went to the Stagecoach Museum for a Fall Festival and a Wild Wild West show. A couple of weeks ago we drove down to see where Laura Ingles Wilder spent her adult life. We enjoyed seeing the house and learning the history of the area. Last weekend we went to the local Renaissance Festival - always lively and full of interesting characters. The girls got to ride of llamas which of course was very exciting.
Rebekah and Kara both had birthdays in August so they enjoyed getting presents from Mom and Dad. Rebekah got a bike and they both got beautiful purses.

Wow! Your girls are growing so fast. Sorry to hear about the appendicitis. Glad you are doing better. It's too bad we don't live closer. It would be great to get together again.
