We had to determine where some extra outlets and bureaus are going to be placed. The house is in Licola and about 25 minutes from Scott's work. The Italians who own the house are sweet although language is a problem. One of them speaks some English which helps. The landlord's son thinks like Scott and is very proud of his house - a perfect match!
Our neighbors are from Germany and have two girls, ages 5 and 3. Across the street are some young Italian girls, probably 8 and 5. We have a lemon , orange, and two chinotto (small orange) trees in our yard. The living room has a pellet stove in the living room which is connected to all the radiators in the house. Heating a house with gas/oil in Italy is very expensive so this will be a cost-effective way for us to keep warm. Every room has an individual air condition (no such thing as central air). It has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 1 half bath in the garage. We may turn the garage basement into storage since that is one thing Italian homes seem to lack.
From two of the balconies you can see the Mediterrean Sea in the distance - it is not the best view but at least I can see it! I cannot wait to sit out there in the evening with a book and relax.
