Since moving to Kansas we have stayed busy. On July 4th we saw the fireworks in Kansas City. Rebekah loved it but Kara fell asleep in the middle of the fireworks. We have also checked out Independence, MO which had a great Pioneers Museum even the girls liked. They also had an old house we toured and Kara found an old babies' crib to put her doll in.
The other night we went to a Royals baseball game after being rained out the night before. The girls played "washing machine" with the chairs by pulling down the seat, letting it fly back up, and pushing the number on the back to start. It kept them entertained for hours.
We also went to a water park that Rebekah enjoyed immensely. She became a pro at going down the childrens' slides all by herself. Today we went to a petting zoo where the girls got to pet and feed goats, sheep, horses, etc. They had a good time.
We have been busy on the rainy days, and there are a lot of them around here, doing crafts, going to the library, and baking.
Kara's new saying is "waygo." Which actually means "there you go." She also has very good manners and says thank you and please quite a bit. She is consistently putting three words together to form a sentence and is a very sweet, smiley girl. Rebekah is into the slip and slide I just bought them and continues to be a "daddy's girl." She has a new friend here - Lucie - the daughter of one of Scott's classmates. They run around holding hands and giggling.

Hi Dr Savery! I'm happy to see everyone is doing well and you made it there safely. I thought about you yesterday as I was placing papers in each turn stile...I thought who is here to appreciate this? If Dr Savery was here she would!
Take care and thanks for sharing the blog site with me :)
