December

We have obviously been very busy working, getting ready for Christmas, etc. Last week we took the girls ice skating - they loved it! Rebekah even got to wear skates. Kara, of course, had on shoes but enjoyed whirling around the kids' rink with us. Last week I took the girls up to Williamsburg to see all the Christmas decorations. I loved the creative wreaths and they loved the horses, cows, and sheep. We had a good time and Kara was a hit walking around with her pink blanket dragging on the ground and Curious George in hand.

Kara is now saying quite a few sounds for various animals including a cat, dog, horse, cow, pig, sheep, lion, monkey, etc. She is quickly learning her body parts and now knows where her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, neck, hands, feet, and belly are located. She enjoys pointing them out on a regular basis and likes looking at everyone's belly button. Oh yeah, and she also loves blueberries.

Rebekah continues to be a big help around the house. She likes Christmas lights and the Christmas story. She still calls Joseph, "Jophes." Not a day goes by without her getting dressed up as a princess. She made the Christmas placemat in the picture at the YMCA.

The girls just got over colds with a cough and runny nose. Kara was quite crabby and did not eat or sleep well for several days but we seem to be back to normal now. Thank goodness.
